Marriage

Justin and I started dating the summer of 2015 and I was immediately smitten! We dated for a little over a year before we got engaged. Depending on who you ask, who proposed to who is never clear. We had been talking about getting married for months, and I knew I wanted to marry him from the beginning! BUT I was in no real hurry to get married. I wanted to finish my degree and was perfectly happy with the way things were (Justin was much more ready and anxious about it than I was lol). On August 13th, 2016 we went to San Diego to spend the weekend with his family. We started the trip by going to the San Diego LDS Temple. Before we went inside we walked around and just enjoyed being on the temple grounds. (In hindsight Justin was being weird and I didn’t realize why were were waiting so long to go inside the temple, but I was clueless about what was about to happen so I went with it.) As we were sitting down talking I leaned into Justin and said, “So…do you want to marry me here someday?” He gave a quiet little giggle and said, “well actually…” He stood up, took my hands, and then got down on one knee! I spent the next several minutes convinced he was kidding! He kept reassuring me he was serious and continued on with his proposal. Before he could even get the ring out of his pocket or finish his question I screamed YES! He told me I had to wait till I heard the question before I gave my answer. So he finally finished the question and again I screamed YES. Easiest question I have ever been asked. We were engaged for 8 months and on April 8th 2017 we were married for time and all eternity in the San Diego Temple. Being married to Justin is the best. To spend your life dreaming about who you’d get to spend the rest of your life with and having that person surpass your wildest dreams is the greatest way to spend eternity. I love life with him and couldn’t imagine my life any other way!
